Ok so I have mixed reviews for this cookbook. First of all I loved reading through it and laughing at all the recipes and descriptions.

So entertainment-wise it was awesome. Unfortunately, the actual recipes are really hit and miss. So far I've only made The Sage Grilled Cheese sandwiches were amazing. The recipes on the whole are more in the fancy-pants realm which is fine I guess, just not exactly the type of stuff you make everyday.

I'll probably make at least a few more of the recipes to get a more solid opinion, but I don't think things are going to drastically improve at this point. While this book was cheap enough and funny enough to purchase, it's also the type of book you could flip through at the bookstore, have a good laugh, and put back on the shelf. These recipe instructions have everything I need when I'm cooking: cursing, profanity and knife threats. And I'd expect no less from a chef who's worked in professional kitchens for years. Instructions aside, the mix of ingredients is also quite fresh. Can't wait to try the watermelon and feta salad. I'll confess I picked this up because it is a common question around here; I didn't really find any answers though.
