So entertainment-wise it was awesome. Unfortunately, the actual recipes are really hit and miss. So far I've only made The Sage Grilled Cheese sandwiches were amazing. While this book was cheap enough and funny enough to purchase, it's also the type of book you could flip through at the bookstore, have a good laugh, and put back on the shelf. These recipe instructions have everything I need when I'm cooking: cursing, profanity and knife threats. And I'd expect no less from a chef who's worked in professional kitchens for years. Instructions aside, the mix of ingredients is also quite fresh. Can't wait to try the watermelon and feta salad. I'll confess I picked this up because it is a common question around here; I didn't really find any answers though.
